Technical Product Support Engineer
We are looking for a highly motivated; energised self-starter with a genuine interest in open source technologies; looking for an exciting opportunity as a technical product support engineer. Our client based in Reading is a leader in their industry and have an award winning, pioneering product which this role would be supporting. Working with a number of blue chip organisations this company have ambitious growth plans and as such are looking for driven individuals to facilitate that growth.
This technical product support engineer would be predominantly focused on the one flagship product providing high level support to UK and International clients as expert technical guidance dealing with all technical issues. There will also be some involvement in support of internal operations and as such the role requires a proactive individual who can work with minimum supervision.
Requirements:
- Product Support Experience (Minimum 2 years)
- Experience with Linux/Unix in a professional capacity
- Apache and MySQL system administration experience rudiments
- Experience of bug tracking
- Working to meet SLA’s
- Previous experience with Nagios or equivalent
- Knowledge of Open Source virtualisation technologies
- Familiar with programming languages (i.e. Perl, Python, Ruby)
