Linux System Administrator – Oxford - £40kDOE + Benefits (Linux, Unix, Apache, Ubuntu, Debian, VMware)

If the answer is yes and you are a Linux System Administrator (Ubuntu/VMware) specialist then I want to hear from you.
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Linux System Administrator (Ubuntu/VMware) to join a market leading software house based in Oxford who deal with top retail clients including M&S and GAP. The role of the Linux Sys Admin requires applicants to have a solid experience in installing servers, monitoring patch releases and developing patch installation strategies, performing system backups and provide maintenance and extend system monitoring frameworks. The successful Linux System Administrator will have demonstrable experience of VMware in Linux environment and be fluent in Linux security.
Key Skills Required:
- 2+ years in Linux administration experience
- Experience of DNS, SMTP, NFS, SNMP
- Scripting skills with Python or Bash
- Experience running Apache / Tomcat / Jetty.
- Previously managed Ubuntu, Debian
- Experience and knowledge of virtualization technologies
- Knowledge of security polices
